Every device uses the same secure Remote Desktop connection to the same TallyPrime server, so your data is identical everywhere.
TallyPrime has no macOS version. You don't need Boot Camp, Parallels or a second laptop. Install Microsoft's free Windows App from the Mac App Store and open our connection file. Tally opens in a window like any other Mac app.
Every Windows PC already includes Remote Desktop Connection. Double-click the shortcut we create for you and your office Tally opens on your desk, at home or on a laptop at a client's site.

Install Microsoft's free Remote Desktop client from Google Play and connect to your TallyPrime server. It works on budget phones and Android tablets too.
On Linux, use any standard RDP client, such as the open-source Remmina. On a Chromebook, install the Android Remote Desktop app from the Play Store. Low-cost laptops are fine because the cloud server does the heavy lifting.

Not natively. Tally Solutions states that TallyPrime can only be installed on Microsoft Windows. With Tally on Cloud you install Microsoft's free Windows App from the Mac App Store and open TallyPrime from our server in a window. It works on Apple silicon (M1–M4) and Intel Macs, with no Parallels, Boot Camp or Windows licence needed on the Mac.
Yes. Tally Solutions permits customers to host TallyPrime on a cloud server. We reactivate your licence on your server during setup. A Silver licence includes 1 Tally Virtual User (one remote session) and a Gold licence includes up to 10 concurrent virtual users. Extra virtual-user packs can be bought from Tally. We do not share licences between customers.

Daily automated backups are kept off-server with 30-day retention. Daily backups on Indian servers also help with Income-tax Rule 46(8), which since 1 April 2026 requires electronic books to be backed up daily on servers located in India.
TallyPrime Cloud Access is Tally Solutions' own hosted service, from ₹600 per user per month plus GST. Its FAQ (updated 29 September 2026) says it runs on Linux through WINE, does not support mobile or tablet devices, and prints only to PDF from a browser. We run genuine Windows Server, so iPhone, iPad, Android, local printers and vetted add-ons work.
No. Remote Desktop sends only screen updates and keystrokes, not your data files, so a normal broadband or 4G connection is enough for smooth voucher entry. Because the server is in India, latency stays low. Heavy reports actually run faster because they use the server's processor and SSD storage instead of an old office PC.
Yes. On Windows and Mac, your local printers appear inside the remote session, so invoices print on your own printer. Exports to Excel or PDF can be saved straight to your computer's drive. On iPhone and Android, printer redirection isn't supported by the Remote Desktop app, so export a PDF and share it by WhatsApp or e-mail.
Yes. It is the full Windows version of TallyPrime, so e-invoicing, e-way bills, connected GST returns, Connected Banking and WhatsApp sharing all work exactly as they do on a PC, as long as your TSS subscription is active. Our servers stay online 24×7, so connected services are always reachable.
