About TallyoCloud

About TallyoCloud: we run your Tally on the cloud, honestly, from India

TallyoCloud is an independent Indian hosting company. We put your licensed TallyPrime on a private Windows server in India, so the same live books open on a MacBook, an iPhone, an Android phone or the office PC. Rather than ask for your trust, this page shows you how to check us.

Quick answer

About TallyoCloud: TallyoCloud is an independent Indian company that hosts your licensed TallyPrime on a private Windows cloud server in India. You open it from a Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Linux PC, Chromebook or Windows PC over Remote Desktop. We are not part of Tally Solutions, and your licence, your data and your right to leave stay yours.

Who we are

Who we are: the TallyoCloud company, in plain words

TallyoCloud is the trading name of TallyoCloud. We do one job: run TallyPrime for Indian businesses on Windows cloud servers that we build, patch, back up and support.

We are a hosting company, not a software publisher. Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd. makes and licenses TallyPrime. We provide the private server it runs on, the secure Remote Desktop access, the backups, the monitoring and the people who answer when something goes wrong. You bring a TallyPrime licence in your own company's name. A private server for one user starts at ₹799 a month plus GST, and every plan is listed on our Tally on Cloud pricing page.

The TallyoCloud GSTIN, and how to check it

Our GST registration number is printed on every tax invoice and written quote we send. Checking it takes two minutes:

  1. Copy the 15-character GSTIN from our quote or invoice.
  2. Open the GST portal's free Search Taxpayer page and enter it.
  3. Check that the legal name, principal place of business and registration status match this page.
  4. If anything doesn't match, don't pay. Ask us first.

What we do

  • Build a private Windows server for your company in India.
  • Move your companies and reactivate your licence on it, free (see how migration works).
  • Create a login for each user and help connect each device.
  • Back up your books: Daily automated backups, kept off-server with 30-day retention.
  • Patch, monitor and support the server for as long as you stay.

What we don't do

  • Sell TallyPrime licences. You buy or rent them from Tally Solutions or an authorised Tally partner.
  • Share one licence between different businesses.
  • Put several customer companies on one shared server.
  • Show ratings, badges or customer counts we can't back with a document.
  • Hold your data back when you decide to leave.

Why we started

Why we started TallyoCloud: books stuck on one office PC

Tally Solutions' own help centre says TallyPrime can only be installed on Microsoft Windows. There is no macOS, iPhone, iPad, Android or Linux app. So the owner with a MacBook, the partner who checks outstandings on a phone and the accountant working from home were all shut out of the books unless they sat at the office PC.

The workarounds were often worse than the problem: a second Windows laptop kept only for Tally, Windows squeezed onto a Mac, a server in a cupboard behind an ageing UPS, or the company folder copied to a pen drive every evening. Every copy raises the question every accountant knows too well: which backup is the latest?

Tally Solutions now runs its own hosted service, TallyPrime Cloud Access, and it suits many people who work from Windows or a browser. Its official FAQ says mobile and tablet devices are not supported. We started TallyoCloud for everyone else: people who want full Windows TallyPrime, with their own printers and add-ons, on whatever screen is in their hand. Our TallyPrime Cloud Access vs Tally on Cloud comparison shows where each option fits best.

Tally on one office PC

  • Books open only where TallyPrime is installed
  • Pen-drive copies and "which file is latest?"
  • Hardware, UPS and repairs to manage yourself
  • Mac and phone users locked out

Tally on a private cloud server

  • One live company file for every user
  • Daily automated backups, kept off-server
  • No server for you to buy, patch or back up
  • Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Linux and Chromebook connect
What Tally on Cloud means
Our principles

Our principles: five promises you can hold us to

These shape every plan, page and support reply. If you ever catch us breaking one, tell us on WhatsApp and we will put it right.

1. Transparent prices, GST shown

Every price is shown before 18% GST, with the GST added separately. Our "from" price of ₹799 a month is the real price for one user on a private server, not a per-user rate that only applies to large teams. Your TallyPrime licence is listed as its own cost, because it is one.

See every plan and what it includes

2. Licence honesty

Each remote session counts as a Tally Virtual User (TVU), per Tally's TVU FAQ. We tell you how many you need before you sign up, and we never sell seats on another business's licence.

1TVU with Silver
10TVUs with Gold
₹125per extra user/month + GST, paid to Tally
Tally Virtual Users explained

3. A private server per company

Tally's TVU FAQ says the licence and the data must sit on the same machine, and its licensing best practices tie each licence to one business. So each customer company gets its own Windows server, never a slice of a shared one.

About our private servers

4. Published controls

We write down how we protect your books instead of calling it "bank-grade": data in India, two-factor login through a secure gateway, per-user access, off-server backups, and staff access to your server only for a request you have approved.

Every security control

5. An exit promise

Leaving us should be as easy as joining. Your data is ordinary TallyPrime data, your licence is in your name, and the four steps below are how you take both with you.

Refund and cancellation policy

The exit promise, step by step

Download any time

Take a TallyPrime backup of any company whenever you like, from inside your own session, without asking us.

Cancel as you joined

A WhatsApp message or an email is enough to cancel. No forms to post and no calls you have to sit through.

Get a full copy

Before your server is wiped, we hand over a complete copy of your company data, ready to restore anywhere.

Take your licence

Surrender the licence on our server and reactivate it on your PC or with another host, using Tally's surrender steps.

The team

The team: people who know TallyPrime and Windows Server

You talk to people, not a ticket bot. Here is who looks after which part of your setup, and what each of them does for you.

Cloud engineers

Build and patch your Windows server, configure Remote Desktop, the firewall and backups, and watch the server day to day.

For you: restore a company to yesterday's data when you need it.

Onboarding & migration

Move your companies from your PC or old server, reactivate your licence on the new server and create a login for each user.

For you: start on the cloud where you left off on the PC.

Support on WhatsApp & phone

Support 7 days a week. Help with a new device, a printer, Mac keyboard shortcuts or a lost connection. See support options.

For you: one message to a person who can fix it.

Guides & review

Write our Tally on Cloud guides, link every claim to its source and correct the errors readers report.

For you: answers you can check, not marketing.

Why there are no faces here yet. We add a team member's name, photo and checkable credentials, such as Microsoft certifications with verification links, only with their written consent. We will never use stock photos or AI-generated faces and call them our team. Want to know who will build your server? Ask on WhatsApp and we will tell you.

Who reviews tax and licensing content. Our editorial policy requires licensing, GST and company-law guides to be reviewed by a qualified professional, preferably a non-practising chartered accountant, chosen after advice on the ICAI Code of Ethics. Until then, those guides report only what the official text says.

Where we host

Where we host: your books stay in India

Your private server runs in a secure data centre in India, with our primary site in Mumbai. Your company data and its backups stay in India.

  • The facility, named in writing. Tier ratings belong to the data-centre operator, not to us. We name the operator and facility in your quote, so you can look it up on the Uptime Institute's public awards list.
  • Daily automated backups. Copies are kept away from your server, with 30-day retention, so one fault never takes your books with it.
  • Paperwork for companies. The Companies (Accounts) Rules, as amended in 2022, require companies to back up electronic books daily on servers in India and to give the Registrar their provider's name, IP address and location each year. We give company customers a signed provider-details letter and a backup log.

Independence

Our relationship with Tally Solutions and Microsoft

TallyoCloud is an independent host and does not claim Tally partnership. Here is exactly who provides what when you run TallyPrime on our cloud, and who you pay for it.

We don't speak for Tally

Tally Solutions doesn't vouch for us, and we don't speak for it. Buy, rent or renew your licence and TSS from Tally Solutions or an authorised Tally partner, in your own company's name.

We state Microsoft's limits too

Windows App can't redirect printers on iPhone, iPad or Android, per Microsoft's feature table. On phones you export a PDF and share it. Our printing guide covers every device.

Names, not logos

We use TallyPrime, Windows, Mac and iPhone only to describe what works with what. We show no Tally, Microsoft or Apple logos, and no badge we can't back with a document.

Verify us

Verify us before you trust us

Being careful with a new provider is sensible. Tick off these six checks yourself. They work on any Tally cloud provider, us included.

  • Take the GSTIN from any invoice or quote and search it on the GST portal. The legal name and address should match TallyoCloud and the office shown on this page.

    GST portal: Search Taxpayer
  • Your quote should count Tally Virtual Users correctly and keep the licence in your own company's name, never on a licence shared with other businesses.

    Tally's TVU FAQ
  • Ask in writing whether your company gets its own server. Ours always does. Any provider should answer with a plain yes or no.

    Private vs shared servers
  • Ask for the operator and facility name, then search the Uptime Institute's list. A tier label with no facility name proves nothing.

  • An ISO badge should come with a certificate number you can search on IAF CertSearch. If we list no certificate, we claim none.

  • Read the uptime target, service credits, notice period and what happens to your data when you leave, before you pay.

Want the full list? Our 12-point Tally on Cloud provider checklist also covers backups, support hours and exit terms. As each one goes live, we will add our public status page, our dated test logs and our profiles on independent listing sites such as G2, Capterra India, SoftwareSuggest, Techjockey and IndiaMART, all with the same name, address and phone number as this page. We will never add star ratings to our own pages.

FAQ

Questions about TallyoCloud

Is TallyoCloud part of Tally Solutions?

No. TallyoCloud is an independent cloud hosting provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and we do not claim to be a Tally partner. We host TallyPrime licences that our customers own or rent in their own company's name. TallyPrime is a trademark of Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and we use the name only to describe the software we host.

Where is TallyoCloud based, and how do I check its GSTIN?

TallyoCloud is operated by TallyoCloud, with its registered office at 202, Dev Bhavan, Nehru Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110019. Customer servers run in a secure data centre in India, with the primary site in Mumbai. Our GSTIN is printed on every tax invoice and written quote. Enter it in the GST portal's free Search Taxpayer tool and check that the legal name, address and status match this page before you pay us anything.

Who writes and reviews your guides?

The TallyoCloud Cloud Team writes them: the people who set up and support TallyPrime on our servers. Every claim links to its source, such as Tally Solutions' help centre or Microsoft Learn. Under our editorial policy, licensing, GST and company-law guides also need a qualified professional reviewer, preferably a non-practising chartered accountant, chosen after advice on the ICAI Code of Ethics. Reported errors are corrected and logged.

Do you hold any certifications?

We show a certification only if we actually hold it, with the certificate number, issuing body, scope and expiry, so you can check it yourself, for example on IAF CertSearch for ISO certificates. If a certificate is not listed on this page, we do not claim it. Data-centre tier ratings belong to the facility's operator, so we name the facility in your quote and point you to its own certificate.

Why does every TallyoCloud plan use a private server?

Tally's Virtual User FAQ says the TallyPrime licence and company data must sit on the same machine, and its licensing best practices tie each licence to one business. Pooling many companies on one shared server makes those rules hard to keep, so every plan gives one customer company its own Windows server. That is why our smallest plan starts at ₹799 a month plus GST, not lower.

Can I leave TallyoCloud and take my data with me?

Yes. Your company data is ordinary TallyPrime data and it belongs to you. Download a backup whenever you like, cancel by WhatsApp or email just as you joined, and receive a full copy of your data before your server is wiped, as our refund and cancellation policy sets out. Your licence stays in your name: surrender it on our server and reactivate it on your own PC or with another host.
