Tally's own licensing rules shape the price, so we built the plans around them rather than around the cheapest possible seat.
Tally Solutions' Tally Virtual User FAQ says the TallyPrime licence and the company data have to sit on the same virtual machine. Its licensing best practices tie each licence to one legal business and treat sharing a licence across businesses as misuse. Hosting your own licence on a cloud server for your own business is explicitly allowed.
So we don't sell "seats" on a server that several companies share. Each customer gets a Windows server of its own, with its own licence, data and users. You still pay only per user, with no separate server fee, and the machine is yours, not a slice of someone else's. If Tally Solutions ever confirms in writing that pooled hosting across customers is allowed, we will say so on this page.

The plan price covers the whole hosting job: the server, the Microsoft side, backups, security, set-up and the people who answer when something goes wrong.
Your written quote states the processors (vCPU), memory and SSD storage of your server, sized from your data and how many people use it. Your server is resized as your team grows.
Server optionsMicrosoft requires a Remote Desktop licence for every user of a hosted Windows server. That is why every plan is priced per named user, and your quote lists each user covered.
Daily automated backups, kept off the server in India with 30-day retention. Restores are part of the plan, not an extra.
Users sign in with two-factor authentication through a Remote Desktop gateway, so there is no open Remote Desktop port on the internet. Multi-user plans add an IP allow-list option.
How we secure your dataLocal printers work from Windows and Mac; on iPhone and Android you export a PDF and share it. Multi-user plans include shared, thermal and dot-matrix printer set-up. Excel and PDF exports save to your own device.
We move your companies from TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9 and help you surrender and reactivate your licence on the new server over a screen-share, with you typing your own Tally.NET details.
How migration worksHosting is one part of the bill. The items below are paid to Tally Solutions or an authorised Tally partner, in your company's name, whichever cloud host you choose. Budget for them now so the total doesn't creep up after you sign.

Also outside the plan: third-party TDLs and add-ons, which you license from their developers, and Microsoft Office inside the server, which needs separate Microsoft licences. You can also export reports to Excel and open them on your own computer instead.

Tally counts every TallyPrime instance opened over Remote Desktop, Citrix or any virtual set-up as a Tally Virtual User (TVU). Silver includes 1 and Gold includes 10 for the life of the licence. Go above that and you buy TVU packs from Tally.
Based on Tally's TVU FAQ: each instance counts, and TVU does not depend on TSS. Pack prices are Tally's published India slabs, billed annually; Tally's checkout is final.
Gold includes 10 virtual users, so a team of this size needs nothing extra from Tally.
Tally Virtual User rules explainedSilver licence, one user. Needs 1 TVU and Silver includes 1, so there is nothing extra to pay Tally. Single-user plan: ₹799 a month + GST.
Tally on MacGold licence, five people working at once. Needs 5 TVUs and Gold includes 10, so again ₹0 extra. Multi-user plan: 5 × ₹799 = ₹3,995 a month + GST.
Gold licence, twelve at once. Needs 12, Gold includes 10, so you buy 2 TVU packs: ₹250 a month, billed by Tally as ₹3,000 a year + GST. Hosting on the Multi-user plan: 12 × ₹799 = ₹9,588 a month + GST.
When people search for Tally on monthly rent, they usually mean one of two different things. Most small businesses end up paying for both, monthly, with no large upfront cost.

Reading the result honestly: if you already own a PC that runs Tally, have no AMC and nobody works remotely, your real saving is small. What you are paying for then is access from anywhere, a Mac or phone that works, and backups you don't have to remember. TallyPrime Cloud Access vs Tally on CloudEvery price on this page is shown before 18% GST, with the GST-inclusive figure next to it. You get a GST invoice for each payment. Cloud hosting is generally billed under SAC 998315 (hosting and IT infrastructure provisioning), so a GST-registered business can usually claim input tax credit on it, subject to the normal GST conditions. Please confirm the treatment with your CA.

Your Tally data is standard TallyPrime data and your licence is registered to you, not to us. Leaving should be as easy as joining, so here is exactly how it works.
Not just when you leave. Take a copy of your companies whenever you like, during the trial and after.
A WhatsApp message or an email is enough: the same channels you used to sign up, with no forms to post or calls to sit through.
We hand over a complete, final backup of every company before anything is deleted.
You surrender it from our server and reactivate it on your PC. Then the server is wiped, as our policy sets out.

For one person, Tally's own TallyPrime Cloud Access lists ₹600 a month plus GST, but per Tally's FAQ it opens on a Mac only through a browser, prints from a browser to PDF only and does not support phones or tablets. Some budget hosts advertise lower prices, usually on shared servers. Before choosing, check what is included: Remote Desktop licences, a private server, backup retention and support hours. Then compare totals with GST, licence and TVU packs.
Not quite. 'Tally on rent' can mean renting the TallyPrime licence monthly from Tally or a partner, or renting a cloud server that runs it. We rent you the server; the licence, bought or rented, stays in your company's name with Tally. A common all-monthly set-up combines a Silver licence rental at ₹750 a month with our Single-user plan at ₹799 a month, both plus GST.
The same ₹799 per user a month plus GST. A firm with many staff or client companies gets a dedicated server sized for it, and you can add seats for GST, ITR and audit peaks and remove them afterwards. Tally ties each licence to one business, so a client company whose own staff log in gets its own isolated server and its own licence. We confirm the set-up in writing after a short call about staff and clients.

Then compare full totals including 18% GST, your TallyPrime licence or rental, and any extra Tally Virtual User packs.
Yes. You can cancel as easily as you signed up, on WhatsApp or by email. You can download a backup of your Tally data whenever you like, and when you leave we give you a full copy before the server is wiped, as set out in our refund and cancellation policy. Your TallyPrime licence stays yours; you surrender it from our server and reactivate it on your own PC.
